Where Yandex models are weaker

Context: 32,768 tokens for YandexGPT, 131,072 for Alice AI. Long agent chains and code are not their strength, and Alice AI gives no cache discount.

Alice AI Flash: a repeated prompt prefix is billed at $0.41 per 1M instead of $1.64; the other Yandex models have no cache discount. Embeddings have no output price. A USD invoice is converted at ID Bank’s non-cash rate on the invoice date, so the dollar figure can differ slightly.

How a company outside Russia pays

Four steps. No card and no Russian bank account needed.

Register the company

At sign-up choose “Company or sole proprietor”, then “In another country”: country of registration and company registration number. Tax ID is optional.

Issue the invoice

In “Top up balance” click “Issue invoice (companies)” and enter the amount. You get an English invoice in US dollars, minimum $50, due in 10 days.

Pay by bank transfer

Pay from the company account to our USD account at ID Bank, Armenia. The balance is credited once the bank confirms the payment, usually in 1–3 business days.

Create a key

Create an API key and send requests. Usage per key is visible in the dashboard; set a spending limit on each key if you need one.

Data is processed in Russia

Requests to Yandex models are processed in Russia, on Yandex infrastructure. If you are in the EU or send personal data of EU residents, assess the GDPR side before you send it.

Are YandexGPT and Alice AI on OpenRouter?

Not as of October 2026: OpenRouter’s public model list (466 models on 3 October 2026) had no Yandex models. Here they work through an OpenAI-compatible API with one key.

How does a company outside Russia pay?

Can we pay by card?

Why do I see rubles next to the dollar prices?

The catalog and your balance are in rubles. The dollar prices are the ruble prices divided by 85.5 (ID Bank’s non-cash rate on 3 October 2026), rounded to the cent. The invoice uses ID Bank’s rate on the invoice date, so the dollar amount can move slightly.

Where are requests processed?

Requests to Yandex models are processed in Russia, on Yandex infrastructure. If GDPR applies to you, assess the transfer before sending personal data. You are responsible for compliance with the rules of your jurisdiction.
